What I'm currently testing

IKEA Alpstuga

IKEA Alpstuga

Perhaps my most requested review. Could this $30 indoor air quality monitor prove to be a disrupter and lower the cost of entry into AQ monitoring?

Odak Clean Air Assistant

Odak Clean Air Assistant

Perhaps the most beautiful air quality monitor I've tested, the Odak is a comprehensive indoor/portable air quality monitor that will always draw attention.

Provirtec Pawtent Pet Air Purifier

Provirtec Pawtent Pet Air Purifier

In a house full of cats, an air purifier designed specifically for pets is an interesting idea. However, it still needs to be performant enough for typical purification uses.

Sensereo MSC-1

Sensereo MSC-1

Smoke and CO alarms have been stuck in the past for quite a while. No longer! This Matter over Thread alarm looks to be promising for anyone with a smart home.

How I test

Every verdict here is built on hands-on testing, measured where I can (sealed-room CADR, sound, temperature and humidity against a calibrated hygrometer) and backed by third-party labs and research where I can't. Scores follow fixed, published tiers, not arbitrary rankings. See the full method on my methodology page.

Dispatch

The findings that don't make it into the reviews.

BreatheSafeAir is a one-person publication. There's no team and no marketing budget behind it, so every subscriber genuinely matters.

Subscribing is the best free way to support the work. You'll get what I'm currently testing, the findings that never make the full write-ups, and the kind of detail you only get from someone who actually puts these devices through their paces.
